Teanna and her beautiful family were some of the first people to join The High Ground in the early days. Rex, (a newly retired SFC with the US Army) their three sons, Eli, Wyatt, and Samuel, and Teanna invested several years in helping The High Ground grow. Eventually, the church even centered around her home as the congregation met there for functions and ministry.
Teanna's gifts and passion center around reliability, relationship building, and evangelism, which make her the amazing pastor that she is. Teanna will begin Seminary in the fall and will be on the Elder Track through the United Methodist Church.
ADMINISTRATOR/HG TOts leader
Stacey and Jonathan along with their children recently retired to KY where Jesus was calling them to do ministry at The High Ground. Stacey has a passion for hugs and hospitality. She is full of love for THG and it's people.
Stacey especially has a heart to love on our littles with our HG Tots Children's Ministry. She is amazing with them all and they love their Mrs. Stacey!
She sees a path to Seminary in her very near future to better her walk with Jesus by helping others grow in leadership or possibly in the Children's Ministry area.
HG KIDS LEADER // COUNSELING MENTOR
Tanya, an Army veteran of 9 years and her husband Larry, currently a CW3 in the Army, are parents to two amazing kiddos. They came to the High Ground by way of invitation from another family and never looked back. As well as loving and leading in the discipleship process, Tanya currently leads our HG Kids ministry and is our counseling guru. Tanya will be attending training soon for counseling on a more formal level. She believes in telling people her story which opens the door for real, honest ministry and the rest just kind of falls into place.
Originally from Long Beach, California, Veronica has lived in Kentucky since fall 2014 with her husband CW2 Robert Tolas, and children, Luke, Landyn and Lainey. She has been a member of The High Ground family since January 2015. Quickly she came to know and love the spirited people of THG, a place she could worship with her zany family with no judgment only acceptance and kindness.
She has her BA in Musical Theatre Performance and English, and her MA in Theatrical Text and Performance from The Royal Academy of Dramatics Arts.
Veronica has faithfully served local churches, both large and small, in California, Alabama, London, and now Kentucky, with a focus on worship and praise. Her faith is most clearly communicated through music, and desires to bring others closer to God through song.
